A Cook House

Darfield - Canterbury

2013

A modern take on the Native North American "Cook House" this crafted gable formed structure was designed in conjunction with the overall landscape design by Henry Blakely Landscapes.  Views to the Southern Alps and the surrounding garden are maximised with the use of glass for 70% of the walls. Frameless glass sliders stack internally creating an open pavilion in the summer months and permit enough air flow when closed in the winter months for the wood fired BBQ to work its magic!
